::I stayed at the Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall May 4th- 7th of this year (2024). We had a beautiful experience. My room was nice and spacious. The room was clean and the refrigerator was stocked daily and the housekeeper cleaned the room daily. I ordered room service and my food always came hot and I didn’t have to wait long. My room overlooked the ocean and the pool area so I loved the scenery. Everyone was so nice and helpful. They always spoke when we would encounter them. The food was delicious. I ate at the Jerk Hut most of the time but the other restaurants had good food also. I enjoyed my stay and we will be returning next year. The resort was clean and maintained. The only problem I had was that the water pressure is very low, besides that I enjoyed every moment. Also, the entertainment was great.

::Up front: This is a second-hand Ritz and definitely shows it. 5-Star bones with 2-star maintenance and 2-star service. Spend your money elsewhere. The rooms hallways, carpets, and rooms are infested with mold that instead of fixing, is instead just caulked over and then masked with perfume machines. The mini bar in the room consists of 3 beers and stale sodas. Room: The water pressure in the shower is abysmal and you have about 2 degrees of play for a cold/warm shower before it's just scalding hot. For whatever reason, the AC is set on a motion sensor, so it's only cold-ish when you first set it but then shuts off if you leave or go to sleep. Service: Service was definitely slower than we expected, between waiting 10 minutes for a drink from the bar (which were always too sweet to drink and 75% alcohol) or waiting 2 hours for room service. Additionally, for every smiling employee we came across, there were 10 more that looked and acted as if we shouldn't have even showed up. I'm not sure if there's not a service elevator but we were constantly sharing elevators with workers carrying yard equipment or pushing large laundry trolleys. At some point they had caulked a portion of the pool tiles but didn't mark it off, so several in our group ended up with thick white caulk all over their clothes. Location: The beaches at the resort are beautiful. It's the one shining grace of our stay.

::Wow what can I say about how wonderful our experience was? The most beautiful resort. The food was good, but truly what made the experience was the people and the staff. First let me say Marsha was an absolute angel. She took care of us on our dinner on the beach and then was there for us the rest of the trip. Ryan our bellhop was so much more than just that. He was a wealth of knowledge and a friend the whole trip. Stephanie was also so much help in figuring out what to do on the island. If you are going find them and you will have an amazing trip!

::Room 1544 Butlers went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed last weekend. The absolute best family vacation we have ever had. Everywhere we went the service was perfect. We had two butlers that went above and beyond each and every day Customer Service was absolutely awesome. Even housekeeping was so friendly and smiling, we did not meet anyone that did not have a smile on their face. Whatever we requested we were granted, the bartenders were Customer Service was awesome (I know they were tickled with my daughters and their dirty martinis with all the olives) The waiters and waitresses at each and every restaurant we went to had awesome customer service, we did not have to do our Butler set up our reservations in each restaurant for every night They just let us know where and what time to be there when we went to the pool or beach we received a cooler of all the drinks that we needed whatever we needed. They truly went above and beyond was totally impressed with everyone Service. They had an answer I could not ask for a better vacation for myself or my daughters we will return. The best part were the SMILES and awesome conversations with the entire staff. I especially like the fact that there were bowls of water everywhere so we were never thirsty.

::While my stay at Rose Hall was in May of 2023, I felt compelled to leave a review after my recent stay at the Hyatt Zilara, Cancun in November of 2021 and most recently in April of 2024. After my first stay in Cancun, I was so excited to go to the Jamaica location. To say we were disappointed by the Rose Hall was an understatement. The check-in process at the airport was long, frustrating and not at all welcoming. When we arrived at the resort, our room was not ready. When we attempted to make dinner reservations all of our choices were booked for our entire 4 night stay unless we wanted to eat at 9:00 at night. The pool bar on the adult side was closed for renovations. The pool itself closed at 6 and then it was pretty much a ghost town on that side. When we asked about entertainment they said people complain about noise so we would need to go the family side. In the end we paid to stay at an adults only resort and had to walk to the kid side in order to have a pool bar or entertainment. We found both Ziva and Zilara to have mediocre service and food. The grounds were far from pristine and the pool areas were always littered with plastic cups. I decided to finally take the time this review because if you are like us, we work hard and treasure our vacation time. If you are looking for a beautiful resort with wonderful service - go to the Zilara, Cancun.
