We used the room for night only. We enjoyed warm showers, with plenty of water. The beach looked nice although we never went out. The staff were extremely friendly. Price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place for a trip such as ours. We were there as missionaries working in a nearby town. Wonderful culture and friendly people all around. The parrot out front was my favorite highlight of this place. There was a comfortable breeze all the time as well. Next time we visit, I will stay here again. Thanks for a memorable trip.

My favourite place always. There is nothing we can fault. Juliet and family thankyou again for looking after us and your wonderful staff.

**Note: Stayed with a group for a missions trip. So we weren't there for a vacation and didn't venture out for activities.** As for hotel, the setting is like an apartment unit. Not an uppity kind of place but definitely one where one might choose to get away from the crowds and typical tourists spots. Several units had 'porches' with hammocks and tall ceilings in the rooms. The dining area overlooks the water and the view is unmatched. Unfortunately this side of the island didn't have the expected Caribbean clear blue water. But the benefit was the quiet you get to enjoy. Staff were pleasant and very accommodating. Be prepared for the resident rooster but other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Idlers Rest Beach Hotel is quite unique. It's like walking into a museum. There are different art pieces, memorabilia and animals on display around the property. The hotel needs a facelift but overall it is a quiet bed and breakfast to check out.

Old and quaint, but doable for a short stay. During our 2 night stay, the cable wasn't working in the room which the hotel was aware, but no one was able to fix it...so we had 2 toddlers and no television all weekend. Luckily they had their tablets. The office staff was excellent and so was security. The lady that does breakfast was nice, but was not an ideal hostess. I would go back if I absolutely needed to, but it's not on my list of places to revisit.
