::This hospital, need to treat patients better. My brother, Gifford Henry, just recently died, a few days ago, at this hospital, as he waited to be treated, for his asthma. They let him wait for 8 hours or more, while he couldn't breathe, sitting in one of their tents on the hospital grounds, while it rained and made his asthma worse. The doctors and the nurses, ignored him, as he struggled to breathe, until he finally collapsed and died, right there in front of them. They could have given him some oxygen, while he waited, but they ignored him and literally watched him died, as he waited among the many other patients, to be treated. He died in the arms of my nephew, as waited to be treated. This hospital should be sued for negligence. My mother also died, at this hospital. The Jamaican healthcare and patient care, is one of the worse in the world. My brother's life had to be sacrificed, to bring this attention to rest of the world. Those doctors and nurses, seem to forget that the patients, are also human beings. Even if my brother had received, just a little bit of treatment, his life would have been saved. My brother lobbied, for the nebulizers, for this hospital, as a council member. Yet he had to die, for a lack of some oxygen, due to negligence, from this hospital. This hospital and the doctors and nurses, should not get away, with negligence and for causing the patients to die, needlessly.

::If health care is free...why are patients still paying?? Furthermore why can't the doctors and nurse were do their jobs instead of being lazy??....if there is to be follow up then there should be no difficulty ...if the shoe was on the other foot then you would want to be treated differently!!! So much for Tuftons perfect health care system...shameful!!!

::All I can say is WOW! Jamaican health care, specifically public health is really a sad story. I cannot understand how they have Cuban doctors that cannot speak fluent English and expect nurses to execute their jobs and for patients and their families to understand. You can see an overall lack of interest and care. It's truly a helpless situation and I feel it's due to low salaries and benefits. Please Ministry of Health, could you look into the public health facilities and how to improve patient care. PLEASE DO NOT LET THE NURSES MAKE YOU WASTE MONEY ON TROP-1 TESTS! THEY ARE INCONCLUSIVE. DO THE PROPER BLOOD WORK REQUIRED.
