::Perfect location, gorgeous views, and a TREMENDOUS staff! Major shoutout to Paul, Donovan, and Harvey for providing us with awesome service during our stay. They answered every random question we had and shared so much knowledge with us! Paul took us through Kingston on our last day, and I thoroughly enjoyed hearing stories about Jamaica through the years. We came for the birds, and ended up seeing almost every single one on our list right on the property. If I ever get the chance to return to this beautiful country, Starlight is on the top of my list!

::Unfortunately not worth the stay. There is a pricelist at the bar in USD and JMD. When you try to pay in JMD you have to accept the USD price for tourists and they will give you a bad exchange rate. When you mention that the price is different to the one at the list they say there are other prices for tourists than for locals. The rooms are wet and there was mold inside. The smell is so bad that you canât sleep. All your clothes is wet. Plus the woman at the hotel is very unfriendly. When you get there she hardly shows you the room. Every question is to much for her. When we asked for forks for breakfast she just said there are one at the table inside. We were the only guests. We tried to shorten the stay but didnât get a refund yet. Sad and very disappointing!

::It was surreal. The last leg of the road from Kingston could take a bit of resurfacing but the journey was quite scenic otherwise. Areas if narrow roads but beautiful views. The chalet is adorable. The chef is wonderful and the scenes of the mountains- let's just put it this way, you will never see these kind of scenery anywhere else and this kind of weather. Smh you need no fan, no AC. It's cool all day. You NEED to be here. It was 48,000 for two nights, all inclusive for two adults

::The best thing going on for Starlight Chalet is its location- the surrounding environs are absolutely amazing! The rolling hills with billowing fog, the plants and animals, especially the birds (it's a birders' paradise) and a stream, make it quite a wonder. Plus, it's in the hills so it's pretty cold, which is nice. The building itself isn't more than a guesthouse/airbnb and as such, much should not be expected of it. The staff members (Peter and Annmarie) are helpful and courteous. More could be done to make the rooms a bit more homely but it was quite okay for a stay lasting a few days.

::We loved our stay. Getting there was a struggle as the roads are pretty bad (4x4 needed!), but it was so worth it! We loved how peaceful and secluded it was - that you don't know it's there until you are right outside. The staff were wonderful, so helpful, attentive, and friendly and the food was delicious. Ideal for a few days away.
