::The staff are pleasant, which is why it's not 1 star. They seem to have some operational shortfalls that make customer service a nightmare. No one picks up when you call. I had an auto loan there that I settled and when it was time to obtain the title for the vehicle it took 4 months. I called and sent emails, ppl would say I'd get a call back and no one did. I would be given a timeline and when the date passed I heard nothing. I kept having to chase them for several months, it was an overall bad experience.

::The customer service is very poor and the waiting period is very long. I've been here for over 2hrs and no one has acknowledged my presence. I'm currently writing this review from the bank. The customer service area is completely empty and no one is acknowledging me. The service here is ridiculous.

::The Portmore branch lacks the basic principles of customer service and any ability to empathise with its client and yet Customer Service Representative Jodykaye manage to turn my none review to a 5 star. Rather than dwell on the misfortune of the over two hours of waiting I experience on opening an account she got right down to it to provide fast and efficient guidance in setting up an account, going the extra mile to even assist in setting up online banking as well as speak about additional services such as VM Wealth and Property services. This was my first experience with VM and I can honestly state that while they aren't the best financial institution out there Jody surely is a gem that deserves to be cherished and admired. Furthermore, the security guards were on point in following could protocols and made it feel a bit more secure than other places. Jodie if you see this just know that you gain VM as a customer for life, thank you.
EMMY'S WORLD OF FUN
::I went to do a cashier transaction today at the Portmore branch. While sitting under the tent waiting my turn a young man politely introduced himself to everyone waiting. He offered us bottled water and he went as far as to ask if we wanted it to be room temperature or cold. On the inside there were two women waiting to sanitize the counters and ropes after each customer transaction. The women were standing fully aware and they had on gloves. I was impressed by the gesture of complimentary water and I do hope that other institutions (public and private) can implement similar measures towards the public. VMBS PORTMORE WINS FOR THIS!

::The experience is very inconvenient especially for the last couple of months waiting in long lines. And got a debit card to facilitate making payment to my account, only to be told now they are going to cancel it because I receive it in error. Even though it's a savings account ...I dont have no money to withdraw...I only make a deposit every month. This is what I am being told....I waited over 2 hours for this process hoping to have it easier in making my payment next month. I do not favor this institution right now at all.
