::As always, I had an exceptional stay at the Altamont West Hotel. I want to thank staff and especially Denica, for providing above and beyond customer service and being accommodating with my travel needs. This hotel is such a gem in Montego Bay, it's a close 5-7 walk to Downtown Montego Bay, Harmony Beach, Old Many Beach, Doctor's Cave Beach, and many restaurants along the Hip Strip. My room was spacious, clean, beautifully styled and have all the amenities (kettle, mini fridge, microwave, tv, wifi, office desk, clothes closet, iron board, iron etc). For breakfast- an offering of Jamaican style or American is offered. This boutique bohemian hotel is quite an oasis gem and anchor in Montego Bay. I love the Altamont West Hotel and all staff, mi love dem yuh know, mi love dem! This is a wonderful local Jamaican hotel that all visitors should stay at, and continue to support. ::Not for me but if you want to stay in a popular area walking distance to everything then this spot is great. Not much parking and noisy if you have a lot of people in. The rooms are very basic just for sleeping. The bed was hard and mosquitoes filled the room. Old looking and my tv didn't work so they fixed it twice but they do offer free breakfast but I did not try. It's OK just not for me.

::Good location but they surprised us with a room with no windows and did not provide bedsheets for the 3rd bed. When I called then at 11pm to ask for the sheets they said that the housekeeping was done for the day. I would NOT recommend this place.

::I have been coming to this hotel since 1988. The location is perfect. You can walk to most everything. I highly recommend the curried Goat 🐐

::Clean with fairly modern updates in the bathroom. The bedroom was spacious with fast, stable Wi-Fi, and even had a writing desk. Perfect for the business trip. Step outside to a decent view of the Caribbean Sea.
