  So, I came to this hotel for a weekend trip and it was a complete disaster for me. The customer service is poor, the food that I've had so far isn't as expected based on the ads for their hotel. To make things worse, the triple occupancy room is actually a double because there is literally 2 of everything. Nothing that suggests 3 persons are being catered for. How can you have 2 beds for 3 people who are not related except for sharing a work place? It's a big disappointment. I hope before I leave something spectacular happens so that I can say there is something good and it isn't all bad.

  I was hoping that there were improvements from when I stayed here a couple years ago since that was soon after COVID, however, I'm even more disappointed. The one good thing is the location. It's convenient and the beach is nice. Upon check-in we were told they could not accommodate our request of a double room even though we put in the request months ago when we booked, and we would have to wait for the next day or so to change rooms. There were no towels or washcloths in the room. We called but they were never delivered and ended up having to pick them up ourselves at the front desk. There is only 1 big bottle of water in the room and no cups, so you're expected to share the same bottle with your roommate. And to top it off, we were only given 1 key for our room, so you have to be tied at the hip to your roommate. Also, upon check-in we were not told that the beachside restaurant would be closing soon so we came down in search of food and had to wait 1.5 hours for the buffet to open. I'm not expecting the same level of service as you would get at Sandals, however, the basics should not be this much of a struggle.

  Fix your elevator only stairs is unacceptable Have fridges in the room Have tea stations in the room if some one wants tea they have to go down 4 flights of stairs just to get tea When it rains put out caution signs through out the halls for guests Ensure irons are in all rooms we had none Check that tv is properly set up prior to checking in guest When it’s more than two guest please ensure there are enough towels placed in room before check in. Ensure the pool maintenance and cleaning is finished before 9am. The pool can’t have a sign saying it opens at 9am but all the pools be close for maintenance after 9am that don’t make any sense.

  Royal De Cameron is strategically located near the airport. Excellent Service, The food is excellent and the variety is unimaginable. Ohh the entertainment is super lit🔥. The pool coordinators and the games keep you entertained for the entire day. The beaches are clean and in close proximity l. It was a superb experience. For a real Jamaican experience, this is place to come.

  Unless you like bugs in your drinks and ants in your bed, I don’t recommend. 0 stars ! The only thing Royal about this Decameron is the ants and bugs! We had ants on the headboard, in the sink, bugs on the floor and walls. We asked for another room and they couldn’t switch us until the next day. I ended up getting bit on my legs while sleeping (which we barley could do due to fear of bugs) Once we got the new room, no more “bugs” but there were still ants all over. No refrigerator, no lock on the doors, and the elevators don’t work. Don’t be fooled by the pics , the Decameron Montego Bay is different than Decameron Cornwall. This review is based off the Montego Bay stay. They ruined my birthday trip and I literally cried. The only good thing is the ocean view. This hotel is so outdated and they use motel type air condition units. Motel 6 would’ve been the same or = to this dump. I refused to have “adult time” in these beds We left and stayed at the Sea Garden which was so much better.
